My Lifestyle in Cabo
Texas was good to me. It was home for more than three decades, and I was proud to have been among the top-grossing real estate brokers in the Houston area during my time there.
And then I fell in love with Southern Baja and the incredible perks of private residence community living.
I moved to Los Cabos in 2010, and here I have specialized in marketing and selling luxury homes. But more than that, I have had the opportunity to experience all that owning in Los Cabos—and specifically Palmilla—affords.
Every day is a new adventure that I get to author—whether it’s a morning on the water, an early tee time with friends on a world-class golf course, dining at a superlative restaurant, or exploring Baja.
Having my own Los Cabos residence means that I have all the privacy I could desire within a luxurious setting: my own space, my own pool, my own private retreat complete with ocean views and all the loveliness that comes with indoor-outdoor Mexican living.
It also means I benefit from the master-planned community design; all the amenities I could imagine at my fingertips: shops, internationally recognized restaurants and chefs, spas, sailing charters, socials, and more.
I am not alone in having fallen in love with this lifestyle. Many of the private luxury residence communities are at or near capacity.
One exception: Legado at La Montaña by Del Mar Development. The remarkable development sits some 360 feet above the sea and is one of the very last parcels of land overlooking my beloved Palmilla coastline. It is, in a word, lovely. Here you’ll find the majesty of Los Cabos’ mountains and sea. And all the exclusivity you could desire. There are only eight homesites in the 75-acre private enclave.
Each homesite comes with one acre, and they’re surrounded by arroyos, protected open space, and a trail system that connects homeowners to the Blue Flag–awarded Palmilla Beach down below.

Another exciting development that comes to mind is Remanso at Espiritu, a brand-new selection of 22 bespoke homes that feature spectacular Sea of Cortés views and range from two- and three-bedroom casitas to four- and five-bedroom villas, and even a limited number of sprawling custom-build homesites.
And, of course, at both there’s access to all of the amenities that have distinguished other Del Mar developments like Villas Del Mar, Oasis Palmilla, and Espiritu. Those include but are not limited to my favorite Club Ninety Six Beach Club, in-residence spas, Nicklaus-designed golf course, 24-hour concierge, and butler and private chef services.
This is that rare chance to partner in designing your dream home and future, and it’s one I’m so glad I took for myself.
